Crowns & Bridges

Dental crowns are one of the most effective, predictable dental restorations we offer. This versatile treatment is used to repair severely damaged teeth, to restore lost or damaged fillings, and to replace missing teeth as part of fixed bridge or implant-supported single tooth replacement. As the name implies, a dental crown is crafted to fit over the top of healthy dental structure or a dental implant. The purpose of dental crown restoration is to restore the form and function of damaged teeth, renew oral health, and seamlessly renew the appearance of patients’ smiles.

Placing a dental crown typically takes two visits to our practice. During the first visit, we prepare patients’ teeth by removing damaged structures. Then, we take impressions of the prepared tooth that our trusted dental lab uses to craft a custom crown. In the meantime, patients wear a temporary crown to protect the prepared tooth. When the custom restoration is complete, patients return to our office to exchange the temporary for the permanent crown. Similar to dental crown placement, fixed bridges replace missing teeth by attaching up to three replacement teeth to two crowns that are attached to healthy teeth on either side, providing support for the replacements. Fixed bridge restoration also usually takes two appointments to complete.

Root Canal Therapy

Root canals have a bad reputation for being uncomfortable – okay, extremely painful. People even say “I’d rather have a root canal” when they’re talking about a task they want to avoid. It’s time for dentists to share the good news with our patients – root canals actually relieve the painful toothache and severe sensitivity associated with root canal infection. Here’s how it works:

Tooth Extractions

While we typically focus on preserving natural dental structure, there are some instances where tooth extraction is unavoidable. The most commonly extracted teeth are third molars (wisdom teeth) that are the last to develop and erupt between the ages of 17 and 25. Their late arrival in smiles leads to a number of oral health concerns, including crowding, impaction (inability of teeth to erupt), and gum infection.

Dentures & Partials

For patients missing a number of teeth on a single arch, a full row of teeth, or who are fully edentulous (without teeth), we offer partial and full dentures. These removable tooth replacement options offer patients restored dental function, improved oral health, and renewed confidence. Partial dentures are crafted using a series of replacement teeth set into a gum colored base. The teeth fit into the smile like a puzzle piece and are held in place with metal clasps. Full dentures restore one or both arches of teeth with a row of prosthetic teeth set into a gum colored base. The malleable base material creates stability through suction with the gum line that holds the prosthetic in place. Brick Row Dentistry also offers dental implant-supported partial and full dentures for those patients who are interested in a more natural feeling restoration that offers added stability and longevity.
